That’s a 6% increase compared to a similar survey published in 2007.

A full 6% of men indicated they were all in for robot sex. For women, it was 4%.So the six point increase represents a fairly even spread between men and women. If you guessed that younger people were a bit more willing to experiment, you are correct. The 18 to 34 demographic was 12 points more likely to try sex with a bot. There was only a slight increase in those over the age of 55.
How Sex With a Robot is Viewed
The survey also revealed some interesting attitudes. For example, a significant number of respondents don’t view sex robots as being the same as human beings. They do not believe that having sex with a robot should be defined as cheating. They also reject the idea that paying for robot sex is prostitution. 49% overall feel that way. It also seems as if robot sex is increasingly viewed as a safer option. However, more men than women agree to this. Finally, many see sex with a sex doll as more akin to masturbation than sex.
The Change of What People Thinking about
